Wow, where do we start. Ginn is everything we look for in a realtor. She is responsive - NEVER did an email, text or voicemail go more than a day without being answered. She is knowledgeable - she knows her area, knows her business and isn't too proud to admit when she doesn't have the answer (then works tirelessly to find it). She is calm - an often overlooked but invaluable characteristic for someone in her line of work. She is straightforward - you can't trust your realtor if all they tell you is what you want to hear, and in gaining our trust she also helped us feel more confident in our decisions and throughout the bidding and escrow process. Our curiosity got the best of us and we flew down to IOP after the storm to see for ourselves. All car rental agencies were closed but Vannessa and her husband picked us up at the airport, drove us to our friends' house to assess their damage and then took us to our house. She even offered to take us to the grocery store and to take us to pick up a rental car the next day. Keep in mind, all of this impeccable service was 8 months AFTER the sale. Vannessa is amazing! We were living on our sailboat for 3 years touring the eastern coast trying to decide where we wanted to live in our retirement. We met Vannessa our second stop in Charleston, after returning from the Bahamas. We had decided we really liked it here and wanted someone to start watching for a beautiful historic home for us to settle into once we were ready to "land". I have worked with many realtors before who are knowledgeable and good at negotiations. The difference with Vanessa is that she really CARES. She makes it a point to know what is important to you and then guides you to the best deal for you your needs. Never once did I feel pressure to buy something or feel like she just wanted the sale. I flew in to see properties without my husband for a day. She picked me up from the airport and we were off. She scheduled 10 houses that we talked about prior and dropped me off at the airport. When we did find a house, she not only negotionated but set up all my inspections, made sure all repairs were done prior to closing, set up the closing process so I didn't need to fly down. There was a problem in setting up the Internet after closing and I had a renter arriving. She offered to bring her equipment so they would have service. Betty is as good as they come in real estate agents. We have known her and worked with her for 6 years when we were renting houses for a month in the winter on Isle of Palms (we live in Philadelphia). When we decided to buy a winter home in Mount Pleasant she helped us find exactly what were looking for. She understood our needs very quickly and did not waste a lot of our time showing us houses that did not fit our model.
